I don't have a modular system to speak of but after watching some of divkids videos i realised my xiao could sound really nice in an ambient eurorack setup. Anyway, here's a few improv sections on my flute, only been playing 4 weeks so pardon the few bum notes. Make of it what you will but would love to hear what people come up with. Concertina loops on the way after it's been serviced.

I only use a triple osc and i took an advantage of the several asio bugs of my soundcard. I don't mix the sound. I've re-recorded that shape 17 times, after that, i applied massive echo and reverb filters. 3 osc, echo, reverb, compressor. For this record, i've deleted the major part of the notes. Some new settings of the echo filter, are applied.

Then i walked past it and sat down for the majority of the recording where you can hear the second construction site that is about a short-block away and that's where all the hammering is coming from. Sitting in a small cabin in the woods of north carolina, the sound of ice particles (sleet) hitting a stove-pipe can be heard. It's cold. It's bleak. The power has just cut off. I used to work security at an apartment in a major college town so i had quite a few opportunities to catch some action. I'm not going to reveal the name of the city or town i was in for obvious privacy reasons. This was one of my best catches. Good King Wenceslaus, is an 1853 English Christmas carol, set to the melody of "Tempus adest floridum" a thirteenth-century Latin carol for spring. It is here performed by the chorus of U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own", led by Colonel Thomas Rotondi, Jr. (Leader & Commander) and CSM Debra L. McGarity (Command Sergeant Major) c. 2010. However, only verses 1, 3, and 5 are performed, giving it a somewhat disjointed storyline, which is very unfortunate.

The mechanical noise and signature "chord" associated with the "mac mini (2010 model)" upon startup/boot. Brief mechanical motor and clicking noises followed by the famed sustained f sharp major chord (detuned 30 cents flat) being projected over low quality, built-in speakers. Mechanical noise has defined pitch and is predominantly in the mid-high frequencies. Recorded on zoom h2n, in small, empty room. Audio clip normalized in post-processing.

A wonderful background of a busy college campus during finals week. I love how the scattered fragments of conversation show inspiration in young people. You will also hear some beautiful wind, footsteps, and some recently arrived spring migrants who are just as excited about the new semester and the humans. Recorded in april of 2017 in a beautiful wooded walking path in the middle of a major midwest university. Listen, enjoy, and think back to the times when we were young, and excited about the future. . . . About learning new things. . . . I find this snapshot quite inspiring and invigorating. A hot summers day in the deep swedish forest. Recorded with zoom h5 with two dpa 4060 mounted in a ab stereo fashion. Birds chatting and bugs flying by is major elements in this field recording. Decided not to remove to much of the bugs in post because i felt it might suck out the soul of the recording. In post: in pro tools i removed some low rumble, and and trimmed the highs just a little bit. Added a "pro expander" to lower some noise, both generated by the h5 and the location. Hope you like it.

McGarity Modifications Levels adjustment - a basic linear tweak, with the lower notes being slightly quieter and the higher notes slightly louder. Also removed a slight tapping noise in the beginning, before the singing starts.

Plane- it’s difficult to get good recordings of planes taking off these days. There’s always major streets or highways close by which results in a bunch of unwanted traffic noise. It’s difficult to find a good vantage point to set up because there’s hardly any public parking with unobstructed sight lines (or in my case hearing lines) to the planes. Plus, with all the extra security measures in place these days, how suspicious would i look setting up a laptop andsome cables and some other electronic equipment in the general area of the runway?but i managed to get this recording. It’s not spectacular, but it’s ok. There’s some worker truck at the end of it which gets in the way, but doesn’t ruin it.
